Residential HVAC Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead and oversee our service department and ensure customers receive exceptional service from initial call through job completion. This role will be responsible for managing service technicians, coordinating daily operations, monitoring job quality and efficiency, and helping drive the continued growth of the department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day residential HVAC service operations
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of HVAC service technicians
• Schedule and dispatch technicians while ensuring efficient coverage and response times
• Review service calls, diagnoses, estimates, and completed work for quality and accuracy
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and provide technical support when needed
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes and company standards
• Monitor department performance, productivity, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and profitability
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs, repairs, replacements, and project expectations
• Help develop service agreements, maintenance programs, and opportunities for system upgrades and replacements
• Coordinate with installation, sales, and office teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Assist with hiring, training, onboarding, and performance management of service technicians
• Maintain inventory, equipment, vehicles, and other service department resources
• Ensure proper documentation, invoicing, and closeout of service work
• Stay current on residential HVAC equipment, controls, refrigerants, and industry standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience
• Previous HVAC service management, supervisory, or lead technician experience
• Active Connecticut S-1 or S-2 HVAC license required
• Strong knowledge of residential heating, cooling, and HVAC systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex HVAC issues
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Experience managing technicians, schedules, and service operations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
